If unity feels like ‘home’ in the universe, what’s one practice you use to remind yourself of that sense of belonging when you feel lost or disconnected?
I place my hand on my heart and focus on my breath while telling my sweet ego, “I love you.”
Listening to Ram Dass in “The Dance of Self and Unity”, I realize I am opening to a more thorough experiential understanding of the difference between the “parts” of self/ego that overtake and overwhelm non-dual awareness. For about a month, I have been doing a daily writing and remembering commitment of patterns I noticed in my psyche and coupled a somatic presencing reflection afterwards. This has led me into an opening of my consciousness that has been very necessary for me. I intend to continue working with this natural life momentum, even as the content will undoubtedly change. I had a friend once tell me to rub the back of my hand gently across my cheek to remind myself “this is what’s real.”
It’s beautiful the way such simple practices can connect us back to ourselves, to our hearts.
